Meaning of degree and how to change them.

To Define Degree.

The teacher will write the meaning of pronoun and give the definition of pronoun on the black board.

 

Definition:-

Degree is one of three forms used in the qualitative comparison of adjectives and adverbs.

Example-

Good- better- best,

Ugly- uglier- ugliest, etc.

Students listen carefully and note down the definition from the black board.

To enable students about the types of degree.

So, the degree is of 3 types:

1) Positive Degree

2) Comparative Degree

3) Superlative Degree

Now we define the all types with examples.

1) Positive Degree: -

It is the basic uncompared form of an adjective or adverb.

Example-

Good, bad, happy, intelligent,etc.

Sentence formation-

2) Comparative Degree: -

It the form of adjective that expresses a difference in amount, number, degree, or quality.

Example-

Better, worse, happier, more intelligent, etc

3) Superlative Degree: -
