After going through the lesson student will be able to--

(a) Meaning of Communication.

(b) Importance of communication.

(d) help the students to understand the environment better.

(e) help the students to understand history, geography and civics in its entirety.

(a) General Materials- Chalk, Duster, Black board, Textbook, Pointer.

(b) Specific Materials- Chat on ancient communication pictures, Charts of recent communication pictures.

Teacher will enter to the classroom with a smiley face and have a quick judge of room management.

To Check previous knowledge teacher will ask some open questions related to the topic.

Announcement of Topic-

After getting the answers from students, the teacher will announce the topic as today we will discuss about the “Communication”.

The teacher will write the topic on black board.

The students will also welcome the teacher by warm wishes standing from the seat.

Answers-

Ans- It is a way of passing on a message from one person to another.

Ans- Through email, letter, phone call, SMS.

Ans- No response.

As per the teachers direction the students will note down the topic name in the notebook.

P R E S E N T A T I O N	Communication.	To understand the meaning of Communication.	Communication is a process by which information is exchanged between individuals through a common system symbols, signs or behaviour.	Students will listen carefully and note down.	They will learn to define Communication.
	Types of communication.	To introduced to types of communication.	There are two types of communication: A) MASS Communication B) PERSONAL Communication A) MASS Communication:- Through mass communication we can pass on our message to a large number of people at the same time. Q:- Can you give example of such communication? “Yes, that’s correct.” B) PERSONAL Communication:- We can communicate with only one or a handful of people at a time. Q:- Can you give some example? “Yes, that’s correct.”	The students will note down the types of communication. Ans:- Television, Newspaper, Radio. Ans:- Telephone, email, texting, etc.	They will understand about the types of communication.
	Development of communication.	To understand the need of communication developing the society.	To help us with the ever growing world and technology there arises a need to develop faster and sophisticated method of communication. Satellites:- They leave made communication even faster. It is because of satellites that wireless, telephonic conversation has become popular. Internet:- Internet provides us with worldwide information and interaction. Sending and receiving e-mails has become possible through internet.	Student listen carefully and note down.	They will learn about the contribution of communications system to develop our society even the whole world.

Students will also stand from the seat and thank back to the teacher as he leaves from the class.
