To enable students different rules of Khalji dynesty. |
Khalji dynasty (1290-1320) The jalaluddin Khalji killed Grandson of Balban, Kaiqabad (last ruler
of slave dynasty) and established his own Khilji dynasty. According to Jalaluddin Khilji the largest population of India was hindu
so this is not possible to make India a Islamic state. So he adopted a policy
to not to give any corporal punishment. Important Aspect:- Alauddin Khalji who was nephew and son-in-low of Jalaluddin Khilji had invaded Devagiri 1294.
After then he murdered jalauddin Khilji and become the Sultan. |

Alauddin Khilji:- He tries to capture all the nobles using gifts and golds. He uses the
hash punishment. Achievements:- He conquered Gujrat, and married Raja’s wife Kamla Devi. Acquired Malik
Kafur from here. His first attact was before sultan, in Devagiri and also captures Ranthambhore,
Chittoor, Malwa. Capital- Siri He ended Iqta system, land allotment. In south he conquer up to Telangana and south up to Rameswaram and make a
mosque there. |

1) Unpopularity of Khalji
Rulars:- The Khalji rulars were not popular. Jalaluddin was most unpopular amongst
the Khilji's and the nobles and people did not like him due to his chicken-hearted
policy, disinterestedness in war and fanaticism. For Alauddin due to his cruelness,
sternness, oppressive nature, despotism and anti-hindu policy people did not
like him. |

2) Despotism of Alauddin:- People of all classes were dissatisfied with the reforms of Alauddin.

Death:- He died in 1316. He was illiterate. The last ruler of Khilji dynesty was Sultan Khusru sah. He was killed by Gazi Malik, a governor of Dipalpur, next he was titled as Giasuddin Tughluk. |
